2015 IoIC award winners

Pressgang has scooped FOUR Awards of Excellence in the Institute of Internal Communication accolades announced this week. Newest client Interserve, the international support services and construction company, has won at the first attempt for its completely redesigned employee publication Focus. The Link, produced for G4S, has been named in two categories: best newspaper – for which it is currently the UK titleholder – and for integrated media, reflecting the launch of an app version of the publication. And The Energy, for Centrica Energy, is Pressgang’s second contender in the coveted ‘best employee newspaper’ category, having previously won both the UK and European versions of this award. An app version of this title has just been launched. Pressgang editorial director Steve Turner said: “These publications are all written, edited, designed, printed and distributed by us in support of comms teams who understand the value of credible publications as a means of engaging their employees. “Interserve showed great courage in switching from a magazine to a tabloid newspaper, and survey results show this has paid off. “G4S has been rewarded by recognising that it’s not a question of hard copy OR digital, but that it’s important to get The Link’s brilliant stories in front of people in as many ways as possible. “And The Energy is proof of the need to understand that however successful a publication is, a change in the demographics of the readership needs to be reflected in a new approach.”
